Saints-Cowboys week is here, but you won’t find the game on FOX or CBS. It’s only on the nfl network, but getting the channel isn’t as hard as you may think. If you have Comcast cable, you’re in luck. You can get the channel for Saturday’s game and drop it after the game. To get the nfl network, you need the Digital Sports Tier Package. It’s $5 per month but cheaper if you order it for one game. It’s pro-rated, so for this month (31 days), it’s about 17 cents per day. “I’ve already got a lot of calls about the NFL Network,” Comcast sales agent Veronica Aguilar said Monday. “It will be also be broadcast in high definition if you have high definition boxes.” In Bossier City, things get complicated. The city’s main cable provider — Suddenlink — doesn’t have the NFL Network. In a statement from Suddenlink, the company verbally accepted an offer from the NFL Network in late September, but the NFL Network later withdrew the offer. Tim Williams, a Saints fan, planned on watching the game at Buffalo Wild Wings. “It’s even better to watch it among Saints fans,” said Williams, who is a New Orleans native. “It’s better to watch it with a crowd.” Jessica Bruce, a Cowboys fan with basic cable, doesn’t know where she’s going to watch the game. “It’s very frustrating,” Bruce said. “If I go to a place like Buffalo Wild Wings, they’re going to have to divide the place, so there are no fights.” Dish Network and DirecTV are viable options. If you don’t have the service, you can it get it installed quickly, but it’s a more permanent option. Both Dish Network and DirecTV require 24-month commitments. If you have Dish Network or DirecTV, getting the NFL Network is easy. On DirecTV, the NFL Network is part of its basic package. The basic package is $29.99 per month. On the Dish Network, the NFL Network, channel 154, is offered in four different packages. One of the cheapest packages is the multi-sports package at $5.99 per month. The package can be added to a basic package. You also can drop the multi-sports package after the game, but pro-rated charges exist.
