From Alex Smith to Andy Stokes and everyone in between, the nfl draft 2005 lived up to its spectacle as the most captivating and addictive non-sporting sporting event on TV. The drama that was Aaron Rodgers, the meteoric rise of Matt Jones, and the Lions taking their third wide receiver in the last three years were just some of the memorable stories in a draft that seemed dominated by teammates, as Auburn led the way with four players selected in the first round alone.
And while it will really take a few years to sort out the real winners and losers, here is my take on who left New York with the best picks, along with a full list of picks made by every team in the nfl draft 2005.
