There are nfl rumors that the Chicago Bears could add a veteran offensive lineman, but the more we approach the end of the season – which will take place in less than six weeks – is less likely that the plan is.
The Bears considered Rob Sim when Seattle was hanging in the trade and eventually dealt him to Detroit. Have you thought about some other options. But right now no one is available to the general manager Jerry Angelo says he is interested in bringing in.
“We could (one sign), but are not obligated to do,” Angelo said Saturday night in the team’s charity ball at Soldier Field. “No one (available) at this time (which aims to introduce). I feel there is a chance for players to be available later.”
“We will keep looking. I feel there is the possibility that players are available below.’s Going to be a handful of positions. It may be the offensive line.”
At this point, the Bears have veteran tackle Kevin Shaffer to work with the first team at left guard. He could get competition from Josh Beekman before too long, but Beekman has filled in the center while Olin Kreutz is recovering from surgery to repair the Achilles tendon. Today, Angelo did not see anyone who offers his team an update, but the Bears added a key player in late May from a year ago when they signed linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa.
