There is nfl rumor that the NFL league will request the Competition Committee to revisit the question of teams with postseason berths secured should be allowed to rest starters late in the regular season, people thought that the NFL was only paying lip service to fan resentment about the Colts’ resolution to pull starters in a winnable Week 16 game at the Jets.
But a reports about draft-pick incentives and quotes from the Commissioner came out on Sunday have made it totally clear that Roger Goodell is going to do something to minimize the postseason mentality.
It is reported from Peter King of NBC that during Football Night in America that Goodell is something angry on teams tanking it.
But it is not easy to solve the problem. Like Tony Dungy from Football Night in America said, NFL coaches with a shot at a Super Bowl care more about entering the Super Bowl than getting an extra draft pick fortaking a critical player at risk in a meaningless match.
