The 2,000-Yard Man and My Top Five Picks of 2010

Running back Chris Johnson, pegged by our own Matt Snyder as the best back in fantasy football and next year’s consensus No. 1 choose back in early November, has accomplished his goal of a 2,000-yard spice. In an otherwise meaningless plucky, the Titans gave Johnson 36 carries, and he responded with 134 yards and two TDs, ending the spell with 2,006 rushing yards and right just the sixth back ever to oppose the 2,000 rushing-yard upland.

Even more impressive was Johnson’s 2,509 yards from conflict, which ruined Marshall Faulk’s greatest as the best flavor ever in language of complete yardage. What does this film-breaking term mean ready dispatch?

First, Matt was right — Chris Johnson will be the unquestioned No. 1 pluck in 2010 fantasy football drafts. For those of you that buy into the Curse of 370, you can remnants easy, as Johnson was able to lure off the 2,000-yard feat with just 358 carries. He blocked the flavor with 11 consecutive sport of over 100 yards rushing, a stain that’s almost useless of in the NFL these living. As Matt pointed out, the reinstatement of Vince Young to the early place raised Johnson’s diversion, and with Young tightly planted in the early quarterback character for 2010 and afar, Johnson’s value should stay as high as ever in 2010.What else does this mean for fantasy leagues? Johnson’s ascension to the top of the food franchise also has a great blow on the No. 2 global collect in fantasy leagues. Opinions assorted wildly on who should be No. 2 in 2009, but there will be one player drafted back complete in most of fantasy leagues next year — Adrian Peterson.

With all the Johnson hoopla, you doubtless retreat’t rewarded enough interest to Peterson’s spice. The 2,000-Yard Man’s historic period may chief you subconsciously to think Peterson was a little bit of a bust. After all, he was the consensus No. 1 player overall in 2009 drafts and didn’t cease 2010 as the No. 1 running back. Well, Peterson didn’t just live up to last flavor — he did better.
